what do they do if your baby is measuring really big?

My OB didn't really want to get into it yet until it's an issue. I am 25+1 and my boy is always measuring 1-2 weeks bigger. He said at my next ultrasound probably 32 weeks they will check his size and if he is still measuring big then we have to look at  why he is so big and then go from there. Will they make me give birth early if he is too big? Also, I had my 1 hour glucose test today, how long before I get the results? Thanks y'all!

All of these questions would be perfect for your dr to answer. However 1-2 week measurement difference isn't anything to be concerned about

Oh please dont worry!!!
At every appointment they told me my baby is big! Gave birth at 40+6 and dra said same thing that my baby is big. Had a 3.86kg baby girl who was long- not tiny for a girl but not abnormally big!
No offence but midwife should not predict what will your baby measure at the next appointment?! Is her last name Nostradamus or what?!
Just chill- your baby might be tall! Thats it. X

If your baby is big they may induce you at 39 weeks or c section you.  But it doesn't change your due date or baby's lung development so they won't deliver you before you're full term.  Glucose test results come back in about a week. If you have gestational diabetes then you will need to minor your blood several times a day. If you do have GD it could explain why your baby is big, if not then sometimes they just have growth spurts.

I was measuring big this whole pregnancy 2 weeks ahead. At my 37 week I caught up and was on track with where I should be. They did a growth scan at 37 weeks and Baby was on track and not too large. I've had friends measure big too and baby was just tall. Don't worry too much about it. Remember the measurement is done in CM, 20 cm is 20 weeks. So really it's easy to be off :)

In my case baby girl had measured a week ahead since 20 weeks 5 days (both by ultrasound & fundal height), there was no concern until the 29 weeks 2 days ultrasound & she was measuring 3 weeks ahead! My fundal height was still a week ahead. I get my next measuring ultrasound on Jan. 3rd so we'll see if she's still in the 90th percentile 😱 I passed my 1 hr glucose test so she's apparently big all on her own, not due to gestational diabetes :) I got my results in just a couple of days, my providers have online capability so I can email them questions & see lab results, request appointments & see my list of already scheduled appointments, etc. At this point we're just monitoring her growth, I'm 33 weeks 3 days & there's been no talk so far of induction or csection both of which I want to avoid.
