help on breastfeeding??

So the first week or two when you are not producing alot of milk did u ever supplement after giving baby breast and baby was still hungry? Or just let baby cry and be hungry?

I read an article (how accurate, who knows but it worked for me) saying that it's ok to supplement a bit when you're learning to breastfeed. When babies get overly hungry and upset, it will be harder to get them to latch and feed.

You're constantly producing milk so even if you feel empty continuing to nurse will tell your body to make more. Feeding every 2 hours or even more often is normal.

I never supplemented. Just nurse. The more you nurse, the more your supply. Talk to your OB and a lactation consultant before you decide to supplement.

You're baby will get colostrum while you wait for milk to come in and baby benefits from colostrum so there's no need for supplementing. Right when you have baby and get over the oooohs and ahhhhs baby shud go right to breast.
