metallic taste in mouth

So I started getting a metallic taste in my mouth at 8dpo. I am now 11dpo. I tested yesterday at 10dpo and I'm pretty sure the test was negative.  I also have sliiiightly tender breasts and maybe a little bit of nausea, but idk how much is maybe just in my head? Haha. So anyways, if I tested at 10dpo and was negative, is it unlikely that I actually am pregnant or could my hcg just be taking its time to rise? Any input is appreciated :)
