how long did it take you to wean your baby from breast to bottle?

My son is almost 12 weeks. We've been trying for over a month to gradually increase bottle feeds. When he does accept, he takes only about 2 oz! It's been an extremely slow process with little progress. I'm getting anxious and frustrated bc I have to return to work in a month and really wanted him to be completely bottle fed by then. When he's with me, he prefers breast and I have to say- makes sense to me! He is usually with just me all day.

Please leave any and all tips here. Thank you. What time of day did your LO start accepting best? I haven't tried middle of night yet but plan to one of these days.

I'm in the same boat!  My EBF babe will barely take a bottle and we try daily. I have to offer it at just the right time (not too hungry, not too tired) and she will take it after about 10minutes of playing with it in her mouth. I'm getting a little scared to return to work.  Looking for tips from someone in the same situation that was successful.  I feel I have tried everything!

I would try different nipples because our son wouldn't take a natural flow nipple, needed a preemie slow flow nipple. You could also start with spoon feedings. I know sounds bizarre but just to have your baby taste In and work up an appetite and maybe then wouldn't care as much whether it's from breast or bottle. Also the temperature matters so maybe make it a little warmer in a pan? I would also have others for now when you can feed from the bottle. May be tough but for night feedings have only your partner feeding.

I hear ya! We're trying for over a month now and we got to the point that she doesn't immediately freak out when the bottle comes close. She drinks maybe 10 ml and we're happy with that for now. Need to start working in one month too so freaking a bit out as well.

What kind of bottle is it.  The nipple might be in The way of him eating more. I've been giving my son bottle and boob since 2 weeks of age.
