Baby 'breathing' in womb? anyone else?

I know that obviously my baby is not ACTUALLY breathing in the womb, but I regularly feel her making panting movements like she is. I looked this up and apparently it's normal and that she is practicing. It's almost like she is hyperventilating sometimes though and it freaks me out a little. She usually gets hiccups afterwards and it has been going on for weeks. Anyone else have the same experience?

They're supposed to at this stage so don't worry! And babies breathe faster than we do which is why it seems like panting.  I'm 32w4d and have to have ultra sounds weekly called BPP's because I have gestational diabetes. That is one of the things they look for on the ultrasound!

Yup, totally normal and I have felt it too for many weeks! 35w4d now I believe. ;}

It pissed me off last week in L&D when a dumb nurse told me it was impossible. I told her how everyone told me I was crazy about knowing our daughter had hiccups from the first trimester, too. (First one, not this pregnancy) And guess what? Those hiccups continued multiple times a day throughout the entire pregnancy and for the entire first year of her life!! The doctors were shocked. Don't doubt yourself! You're MOM! We apparently know our children better sometimes!

Oh, and in the same sentence the nurse admitted she thought her sons hiccups were his heartbeat and that I must just be feeling that. I'm like, no....... It's also rhythmic but not a popping. I'm not an idiot..... 🙄😤😒 And it's clearly not a heartbeat or my child's heart is broken.

People annoy me with their opinions. She's a freaking nurse! She should know these things or not to even open her mouth... Glad I didn't deliver that night!! She probably would have killed us. 😠

My baby was doing the same and it scared the heck out of me, I seen the movement from my belly like she was breathing. I thought maybe something was wrong but she start moving afterwards:

My baby boy was doing it during a scan with the doc. He says it was really good 😊

I read it too and lately feel weird movements more than kicks and punches. I always talk to him to tell him he's ok and mommy's here ❤

I saw it on ultrasound today. You could see her diaphragm move up and down.

I've seen and felt it a few times too! It's pretty cool but she doesn't do it for long or very often - at least that I've been able to feel.
