asking about bc?

I really need birth control because my periods are insanely painful and my relationship is starting to become more sexual. The easiest way to get it would be to tell my mom about the period part of why I want it, but I'd have to be vague about it. She would get mad if I straight up ask her to take me to get birth control. We're not very close on topics like this. How can I ask her?
