please help?

First time mom 28 weeks pregnant and I'm freaking out about pain in my gum which I ignored for few days now because I thought it's normal for us to have swollen or sensitive gum. Well it's where my wisdom tooth would be and it is painful like it's coming out but now I just checked in the mirror and it is swollen and red so I pushed on it to feel the tooth and nope!! Instead yellow pus comes pouring out. I google everything I can and seems like it's gum abscess? I call my ob doctor on call and he pretty much told me he can't do anything since he's not dentist and told me to go to the ER since dentist offices are closed for New Years. I really would love to save myself a trip or money for ER visit if they aren't going to treat me and just tells me to wait for dentist appointment which I won't be able to make asap since they are closed until the 3rd. What can I do or anyone experience this ?
