wedding dress shopping

I went wedding dress shopping today with my mom and my fiancé came with. Everyone is saying my fiancé shouldn't have come because now it's bad luck he saw me in my dress before the wedding. Did anyone else have their significant other tag along when you bought your wedding dress? What do you guys think about this?
