pp bleeding

I had my daughter 5 weeks ago and I started bleeding heavy about 2-3 days ago I noticed it was super heavy and didn't seem right so I called my doctors office and I was told I was hemorrhaging because I overworked my body . She told me to take ibuprofen to make it stop hemorrhaging but it only stopped it by a little bit I was filling up a pad every 20 minutes . Have any of you mommies dealt with this ?
