Endometriosis ?

Going in for the surgery this week and I'm so scared ... how was the recovery? Was ttc easier? Any info will help !!

I had it about 3 weeks ago and it wasnt as bad as i thought. When the doctor went in she found it on my uterus, gall bladder and colon which meant i had it very severe. But i did not take any pain meds i was surprised but definitely relax and do not move too much. Plus take stool softener because i had very bad constipation and i think its because of the surgery so i took a laxative because it was bad

Take pain meds around the clock for a couple days, use a stool softener, and stay hydrated. I had a more aggressive surgery a few months ago; they flushed my tubes, removed some cysts, removed a fibrothecoma, removed a bunch of endometriosis spots, and took my appendix (which also had endometriosis). I'm a nurse and know how important it is to keep ahead of the pain for an easier recovery. Often times gas pain is the worst part of a laparoscopic procedure, but not always. My husband and I just started ttc 8 1/2 months after my procedure, no luck for our first cycle.

I've had the surgery twice now, I had my second one done on the 22 so only a week and a half ago and both times i didn't even take any meds after words the first few days are sore but I went back to work 3 days after both times and I'm doing great

My first surgery was super easy to recover from, my second was more difficult but they were more aggressive and took my appendix.  Wasn't TTC at that point (5.5 years ago).

Recovery wasn't that easy. The gas hurts a good bit. Just make sure it sit up afterwards when you get home and move your arms. Don't use stairs and sleep on something that's easy to get out of. When getting up hold a pillow to your stomach it makes it easier to get up. Your going to be super tired for the first couple of days. Good luck!
