Ftm, honestly terrified of labor

I had a kidney infection and spent a week in the birthing center recently. I wasn't that worried about labor until I heard the screams of other moms giving birth 😳 obviously labor effects everyone differently but... is it THAT painful?! They sounded like they were dying and I'm terrified 😱
