i need help!

so i have been talking to this guy since august, i know he had a girlfriend before we started talking but whenever i ask him he says they aren't together anymore and she doesn't live around here so i really don't know and then recently he hasn't been talking to me and i'm not sure why. i was scared to talk to him in the first place bc i get attached easily and i felt like this would happen.. what do i do? 😣
