breastfeeding/pumping moms.. help

Caitlin
Ftm here.. due in April. I want to breastfeed for the first 5/6 weeks, is my goal. If it works out better then I expect then I may do it as long as I can. Question though.. I know a newborn is to be fed every 2-3 hours - hubby wants to be able to feed at night. So if I pump, in order for him to feed at night, what is a decent schedule? Do I still need to pump every 2-3 hours if I'm not putting the baby on the boob? This is all so new to me and I feel like I'm going to grow gray hair just thinking about it lol any help would be great!! Thanks in advance :-)
Thanks everyone!   So is nursing for 6 weeks out of the question? Like what do I do after that 6 weeks? Just let them dry up, I know the doc can prescribe a pill to dry them up?
