Food?

My LO just turned 4 mos yesterday and we would like to begin the introduction of food. I do not want to  do rice cereal. How did you guys begin feeding? Any tips or suggestions?

Wait until 6 months. Their systems arent ready for solids until then!

My Dr just gave me the green light to start introducing food at 5 months. She says to start with veggies and meats and then fruits last.

My pediatrician gave the green light! My LO is 4 months. She just gobbled up a bowl of oatmeal and seemed to love it. She was giggling and kicking her feet the whole time. Why don't you want to do rice cereal?

I've done carrots, if u don't want to do cereal that's fine. Just test a little on a spoon at a time til they get a hang of it. But I would do just veggies right now cuz once most babies try fruits they don't end up likes veggies cuz they aren't sweet like fruit. Also stick to 1 food item for about a week to see if your lo become allergic.

I got the first foods gerbers , they actually have a starting pack of tiny gerbers to start ur baby on. I've let her try different flavors, so far she only likes apple and pear

I mix rice cereal with bananas in the morning and than oatmeal cereal with sweet potatoes or carrots or squash for now. Start with light colored foods then go darker! My 3 1/2 month old loves her food 🙂
