tea tree oil in your cooch

Kay so..... I have a kind of holistic friend who taught me about the use of coconut, tea tree and lavender oil in your delicates. Apparently it's used for yeast infections or just to purify bad bacteria from your delicates. Does anybody have more info? I do know if you use to much tea tree it can cause chemical burn but I made a suppository from the coconut oil so it's not painful at all. It feels cleansing and smells great! Again, I just want to know if anybody knows more info, google isn't much help (I know, shocking!)
