You've Got HPV!

I found out from the doctors I have HPV. I'm trying to figure out who I got it from. What's the point of telling guys when I sleep with them because most the time it clears up on its own? There's not really a test for guys, rarely show symptoms if they do, it would be warts and/or cancer. Also women tend not to pass to guys as much as they pass to women. It's like having a cold you might get it, you might not, it might turn to more. This is so annoying. I had the shot to cover hpv and still got the strand it covered, ironically. I told the guys and it's like you might be sick but you won't know unless you get warts or cancer. Seems stupid pointless and awkward.
