Nexplanon and breastfeeding?

Okay ladies, I have had two kids almost back to back and I cannot afford to get pregnant again. However, I am still breastfeeding my 6mo old and I do not want the birth control to dry up my milk supply. I have really been considering Nexplanon because it's not something I have to think about everyday but I'm concerned about the hormonal changes. Does anyone have any stories or experiences that can help me?

Not sure as far as the milk part goes but I have it and when I first got it I got hot flashes and a was a bit emotional and got acne and my period was all over the place. But they said that is normal for the first 2 months or so. Since then the hot flashes went away and so did the being over emotional and acne. And although my period is consistent now, it is like one week on my period and one week off. Which kinda sucks and is weird because I heard lots of girls stop getting it completely. But I guess at least it is consistent now. Even though it doesn't seem normal to most people with nexplanon. I would say talk to your doctor and ask. They would know more than anyone about how it would effect your breast milk supply. Overall though the nexplanon implant I love despite the period thing. After it healed I don't even feel it, you can't really even see the scar and it works amazing. My bf finishes in me all the time and no pregnancy scares whatsoever
