cats sense pregnancy

This might sound ridiculous but can cats sense pregnancy? We have three cats in this house and usually they're nice and all but they spend most of their time playing but today everywhere I've been and sat one has come up and cuddled up to my stomach and started purring. Maybe they're just all m being really affectionate today or what...idk?
