No US federal laws mandate vaccination, but all 50 states require certain vaccinations for children entering public schools. Most states offer medical and religious exemptions; and some states allow philosophical exemptions.

Opponents say that children’s immune systems can deal with most infections naturally, and that injecting questionable vaccine ingredients into a child may cause side effects, including seizures, paralysis, and death. They contend that numerous studies prove that vaccines may trigger problems like autism, ADHD, and diabetes

For me personally my kids have been vaccinated and will continue to be vaccinated. My son has cystic fibrosis and has a very weak immune system. So if i know that I can prevent him from catching something that could end his life sooner then i'm going to do it. My daughter gets vaccinated for her own and to help protect my son as well. If she is healthy and can go to school and avoid illnesses then that means she won't be bringing them home to her little brother. Vaccines may not be for some. And everyone has their own reasons for why they do or don't vaccinate. That's just my thoughts on it.

You should never be able force somebody to inject a substance into their bodies or their children's bodies. I am vaccinated and plan to vaccinate all my kids but I don't go into it blind. For the record, the flu shot has been proven time and time again to be a useless vaccine.

Shady that it is the only industry in the country that has a complete monopoly with no competetors. They have no incentive to make the "best of the best" like other companies with other companies and products have.

Like I said, I'm vaccinated and will have all of my children vaccinated but I shouldn't have a say in what other people inject into their bloodstreams and anti-vaxxers have every right to be skeptical.

So you know diseases, the reason why we are so frightened of them and spend lots of time and money producing vaccines to fend them off is because our immune systems cannot naturally deal with them, in fact, a lot of people die when they catch them, or just end up crippled. People forget that smallpox had a 70% mortality rate. If it weren't for vaccination we would still be at risk, now more that ever with super fast international travel a common occurrence. It just seems like a shame that in the event of an outbreak the child would suffer for the stupidity of the parent.

Some should be mandatory and some shouldn't. I don't know too much on the topic but from what I have heard and experienced, there are vaccines that I don't think are necessary. 
For example: the flu vaccine. I haven't had mine in 10 years and I've been fine. Also, the eye goop they put in babies eyes when they're born. So unnecessary unless you know you have an STD. 
The medical system needs to stop thinking about making money and more about the health of their citizens.

No, because as much as I am pro-vaccine, the government shouldn't get to control what parents choose to do for their children.
If a parent truly believes their child is better off without vaccines then that is a choice the parent gets to make.

Sure do the mandatory vaccines but I really don't like the flu shot. I only had it once as a baby and haven't had it since and there's nothing wrong with me. Never had any illnesses either. It depends on the kid though. Vaccines are about prevention so if a kid has a bad immune system I'd say they probably need more vaccines than the average kid.
