Would you report an illegal daycare?

Meaning one that is run off the books and not by a licensed provider?

Only if the children are in danger or health codes aren't up to date. No need to ruin someone's life. They're just trying to work. Also the people that get in trouble are the parents using the daycare as well

My mom did daycare when I was younger and she wasn't licensed. She did take a CPR class and stuff like that. If the kids are being mistreated then yeah report it. I've seen lots of people do it at some point and do a great job though.

If they are advertising as a daycare unit then yes because you don't know if all the correct checks and paperwork have been completed on staff and environment. If it were just someone you knew looking after your child and maybe a friends child/ren for the day and they weren't advertising it and they knew the parents previously and they weren't working with a child's development which daycares do then no as that's up to the parents to find legal daycare if it's needed and there's nothing agains babysitting last time I checked

I've known a couple people who were reported for watching friends kids and families kids, about 4-5 total and were turned in as an illegal daycare. In those cases I thought it was ridiculous, but like a place that advertises as a daycare but not licensed I would.
