Nothing the doctor can do?

So just before Christmas me and my fiancé went to the doctors for the 3rd time asking what else can be done as we've been ttc for over a year and a half now. He keeps saying that as my man has a child from a previous relationship fertility clinics won't help us and there's nothing he can advise. I've had my blood tests and my man has had a sperm count. Now the doctor hasn't suggested getting tested to see if my tubes are clear or whatever else is available. Is this right? Is there NOTHING he can offer to help?

Fertility clinics will see anyone who has fertility problems, regardless of your previous fertility status. 
It depends on where you live and your insurance coverage as to how much money you'll have to pay. 
My husband and I already have four children together but are having trouble ttc #5. I have had my initial blood tests done and we'll be getting a referral to a fertility specialist in another week.
You need to see a new dr and report your old one. It's bordering on negligence to be denied a referral to a specialist.

Find a new doctor!  My husband had a child from a previous relationship and we conceived twice naturally.  After trying for so long we were referred to a specialist and were diagnosed with secondary infertility.

That is all ridiculous. Find a different doctor or clinic. At th very least, they should be offering Clomid or Letrozole to strength ovulation and an HSG to make sure you tubes are clear.
