Is it acceptable to have another baby shower if your first 3 were boys and now you're having a girl?

I have 2 boys and then had a girl, I personally wasn't comfortable having a "buy me stuff" party for a 3rd baby,  I didn't have one for my 2nd son so i didn't want to have one now just because I'm having a girl this time.  I did a meet the baby dessert party instead after the baby was born.  People brought little outfits and stuff but the focus was on the baby and my other 2 kids and not me. Besides a couple blankets, sheets and pink onesies I really didn't need anything "girly" that I didn't already have.

Even if it was another boy you could do a diaper party. Every baby deserves to be celebrated. If you have things and don't need a full on baby shower do a diaper party/BBQ.

I had a girl now im having a boy.... and honestly..... there is nothing i need.... we already have it all.... from the first..... other than buying a few blue blankets theres nothing more we could really need..... so im guessing the same from boys to a girl....

I have three boys and I'm having a girl, I'm so thankful that my friends want to have a shower for me! I have no girl clothes etc. my youngest is 4.5 so I had gotten rid of a lot of stuff. Absolutely have a shower if you want!
