Any of you been denied intimacy by your partner during your pregnancy?

This may sound whiny, but I haven't felt like being intimate with my boyfriend for weeks, maybe over a month, and last night I finally was feeling really into it, and he said "not tonight", which left me feeling very unwanted and not sexy at all. Have any of you had advances denied by your significant other during your pregnancy? If so, how did you handle it? I'm just trying to figure out if my feelings should be as hurt as they are.

Your feelings shouldn't be hurt at all especially as you said for the last month you haven't felt into it and just because you felt into last night he wasn't feeling it doesn't mean you should be upset at him. Sometimes people want to be intimate at different times - you shouldn't be upset at him denying intimacy at all it's his choice if he doesn't want it right then he doesn't want it. Respect his decision just like he's respected yours for the past month.

My SO would ignore me for days. We didn't live together, and it wasn't his baby but it still hurt. And then when we would finally have sex he would only do it doggy style(I hated doggy style anyway) but imagine how it felt being pregnant and self conscious of your body already...so I finally stopped asking for it and would dread it when he asked.

Maybe he just wasn'tin the mood just like you haven't been in the mood for a month? Men aren't always in the mood they have feelings as well. Your just feeling extra hurt bc of the hormones. Talk to him about it.

Were you intimate with him when you weren't feeling it? If so then I can of course understand your hurt feelings if not maybe it's been long enough he's put it out of his mind or been handling it himself and was spent.

I have never been pregnant,  but maybe he feels like most men when their girl wants sex during their period.  That It's taboo.  Maybe you should talk to him and ask him why.  Especially if he is the father,  he should know your needs,  and that sex during pregnancy is normal.  That it can help you release the proper chemicals your body has built up.  Honestly you should be honest with him and have an adult conversation with him  about it.  Tell him it's now or never because when you have the child there won't be any room for it when  he's ready.

I'm a teen, so I don't know how much help I would be. But maybe he was stressed or tired? Or maybe he thinks he might hurt the child by having intercourse. If he does that alot, maybe try talking to him. Communication is key!
