Used crib and dresser?

So I am currently looking at a used crib and dresser is that a big no no no or should I try and take advantage of the cheap prices?

No. That crib is dangerous. You can get a new crib that is safe and completely up to current standards for less than $200. Drop side cribs are illegal.

Honestly I got a used crib from my aunt and uncle for my son 6 years ago. It was a drop side crib which they don't sell anymore due to safety concerns. We bolted the drop side into the ends so it wouldn't move. It was extremely sturdy and we had zero issues.

New safety standards or cribs were released in 2011. Most likely anything older will not comply. If the crib has a visible model number you can look it up online. A used dresser should be fine.

The drop railing cribs are considered unsafe. I beilve the us doesn't sell them anymore? Would look at other used cribs for sure

I'm pretty  sure you can find brand new for about the same price. Check overstock.com for dressers and Amazon for cribs

Also - look on Amazon. You can find brand new cribs for under $150. That is where I ordered my crib from and I only paid $150 for it.

The dresser should be fine but that crib seems out of date. I don't think it's regulation anymore to have a drop side crib. That can be very dangerous.
