Inserts thay actually absorb??

Question

In regards to pee only situations:.    I am working on trying brands and types but....I have yet to come across a cloth insert that actually absorbs, as in liquid goes in and the top stays relatively dry. So my baby's bum is not wet the entire time the diaper is on. Anyone have suggestions on inserts that perform some 'stay relatively dry' function ?

I put a fleece liner next to baby's skin. It has a 'stay dry' quality and is easier clean up for poop.

I ordered some hemp inserts from a user on eBay and they are amazing I wish I would have started using them sooner! We use one hemp insert and a microfiber insert hemp on bottom and she goes a good 2 hours feeling dry in her diaper. I took one off today after nap time and expected it to be wet and the diaper was full but no wetness on her

Bamboo or charcoal inserts work well for us. Baby is never wet
