Is 4 years too big an age gap ??

I really like this guy who I know really well and have done since I was 12/13 because he is a good friend to my family. One problem is the age, he's 21 and I'm 17 and to me age is just a number, I have always though this way, I just don't know what my parents will think.
I have been out on a date with him already and he's so sweet, kind, hot and just everything you want really and I feel like we have a genuine connection, is this relationship weird??? Please help me ladies 😖😖😖

I don't think that's old. When I was a freshman in HS my Childs dad was a senior. I got prego rather young. 15 to be exact. I was 16 when I had her her dad was 19 or 20. I love older guys. My fiancé is 3 years older than me. When I turned 21 I dated a 41 year old. I honestly believe it depends on your maturity level.

Age is relative. 17 and 21 isn't bad. But 12 and 16 would be bad. So it's relative to maturity level. You're fine(: I hope things work out between you two!

I'm 20 and my partner is 18 so it's not too much more of a difference (he turned 18 in november)

It's not weird at all. Age is indeed just a number. My parents have a 26 age gap and they're happily married.

People don't make a big deal when both people are over 18. Like if you were 21 and he was 26 it would not matter. People think he's taking advantage when you are underage. And l it's against the law to date a minor 17 or 16 may be ok depending on your state. I'm 38 my guy is 27. Been together 4 years. It's not like he's 90 and I'm 20. It's honestly up to your parents. If they knows he's a decent guy it may not be an issue. Good luck.

Probably best if you're both legal adults, then it's not that weird.  But as teenagers, then yeah it's a bit odd.
