introducing a sippy cup?

When/how should you introduce a sippy cup? I know no water before 6 months & baby is just shy of 5 months old. Should I put a small amount of breast milk in a sippy for her to try?

You can give them up to 4oz in 24hrs of water once you start giving them foods. That i would try in a sippy cup.

Who told you no water before 6 month? That's incorrect. My doctor told me you can give water if they have a colic or constipation. And that was way before 6 month.

I introduced my son to a sippy cup when he turned 4 months as he had already been holding his bottle for some time. The cup is made by Avent, can be used on any of they're diff size bottle, has two handles with grips and the packaging said 4m +. Also came with two diff nipples for as well. He'll be 5 months old in 10 days, he likes it.

If your baby can start holding their bottle on their own I would give it a try
