Pregnant or PCOS?

I haven't had a period since October. I have PCOS and it's normal to irregular for me. I've taken 5 clear blue pregnancy tests and they all say negative and with PCOS it's also hard to get pregnant. I don't think I'm pregnant but any others with PCOS, can you give me some advice? And what kinds of things can I do to make my period come?

I have PCOS and usually get my period every other month.

I now haven't had a period since July (which sucks because I've actually lost about 30 lbs and that's supposed to help) and have taken multiple at home pregnancy tests and have also been tested at multiple doctors (I've gone in for unrelated things and just asked them to make sure before prescribing anything).

What you are describing sounds like PCOS and the only thing you can really do is look into hormonal birth control (the only way my period has been regular Ever) and things like metaformin.

IT is so hard waiting for a period to turn up after so long! I have PCOS too and really struggle when my cycles go above 45 days. All I can suggest is nutrition. If you eat a PCOS friendly diet and look into supplements you can reduce your cycle lengths. I take inositol, folic acid, magnesium and eat a whole foods limited sugar diet. I have managed to reduce my cycles from 100 plus to 35-40 days. I recommend yoga and meditation to take your mind off the waiting.

Talk to a doctor about your symptoms.
It sounds like PCOS to me, but by no means am I diagnosing. My sister is taking medications and oral birth control to help regulate her period because she has a bad case of PCOS, she used to only have periods once a year or so but now she has them every few months or so (which is really good!). I have a very mild case of PCOS so personally I am not taking any medications for it. However, when I was on birth control for 5 years (Depo injection) I only had periods like once a year, once I stopped (after a year or so of no periods at all), I finally was able to start regulating my period however. During the time I was on birth control, my PCOS was non-existent as far as I could tell.
Talk to a doctor and have them examine you and discuss more about PCOS with you.
