If my water has broken will baby still move?

38 weeks exactly today and I'm really not sure if my waters have just broke. I have just been for a pee changed my pad (have had to wear them the whole time due to increase of discharge) i have since sat down and felt a trickle. I'm not sure if it is my water or just more discharge my mucus plug has come away too.

Does this sound like it could be my water? Also does baby still move if water has broke?

I would call your doctor. They might have you go to L&D to get checked. If I was you I'd rather go now and find out before it's too late and you end up at home having a baby haha. Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's pee or your water. I know it sounds gross but try smelling it and if it doesn't smell like pee call.

You need to get checked out if your waters have gone even if your not sure cause there is an increase risk of infection if baby is left with no water

Please please see your doctor as soon as possible my waters broke but baby was still moving. I went to hospital to be assessed the next day & I was told I had got an infection due to not having any water to protect my baby & sadly my daughter passed away please go to the hospital or see your doctor. You need to get checked if you think your waters have broken but yes baby should still move. My baby stopped moving after my waters had broken and she was in fetal distress and I had to have an emergency c section.

It's very important to go to doc immediately if you suspect your water broke. The baby is no longer protected in its safe sac and is exposed to infection!
