What should I do?

I want four kids (always have) and my SO knew that from the very beginning. But he only wants two. I can't talk him into more. His mind is set. What do I do?! I really wanted four. 
I told him if he didn't give me four I'd get them elsewhere (jokingly)

Do you have kids already? If not, I wouldn't worry about it too much until that time comes. Minds may change after the first is born or even after a few years.

god shocks you and gives you whatever HE wants to give you so don't say you want this amount of kids because you get what you get. if he only wants 2 then that's it

You never know what might happen in the future and perhaps one or both of you will change your minds or come to a compromise. Maybe meet in the middle at three kids?

I say just have 2... for now. If your first 2 are still young, chances are he feels like it's too much. I think time will change his mind. Maybe y'all can settle it at 3? Well I don't know, I'm just trying to help. lol. My SO has 2 children already from his ex so he feels like he's had enough. But I hope he'll change his mind 😋 Especially since I don't have any of my own.

My husband never wanted kids at all, I want 3 maybe 4. We have 2 and our third on the way and he occasionally talks about the possibility of a fourth. Once we had our first is when everything changed for him, she was so amazing he wanted another and of course to try for a boy. And then when our son came along he was still amazed at how we ended up with 2 perfectly amazing children he wanted a third and right away.

Just see how it goes when you have kids! My parents always wanted a big family, but after 2 kids my dad was done and said it was too much. After a few years she talked him into it and they had 4 more lol and he is so happy about having a big family now. But anyway it's possible that you'll change your mind or he'll change his. I wouldn't stress the relationship about it til it matters xx

You know, life happens. You get one kid, life changes and minds change. 2nd kid comes, life changes, minds change.

Maybe by the chance of the 3rd kid, minds will be changed.

These are lives and people you are giving birth to. I wouldn't have different numbers be a make or break deal between you two.
