My son is 6 weeks 2 days old he's always a great sleeper (knock on wood) we actually have a routine and feeding schedule down pat. He feeds every 3-3 1/2 hours drinking 4oz bottles. I was EBF for many weeks but now he is on formula that contains rice starch in it. At night he is now sleeping a lot longer. Some I'm nights 5 hours straight without waking for a bottle and some nights more. Is it normal for him to sleep that long so young? He is gaining weight properly he is close to 12 pounds now was born 9lbs 2 oz. he is awake for an hour about after his feedings during the day so I play with him, read a book or do some tummy time then he will sleep for 2 hours or a little longer before next bottle. I'm awake now because usually this time I feed him but he's still sleeping. We are on 5 hours now and I should be happy but if he's hungry wouldn't he wake up himself to let me know?
