Bad cough at 14 wks

So the past couple days, I've caught this shitty cold going around. I've been trying to stay away from medication and only taking robitussin once in a while as well as cough drops (both approved by my doctor). I've been coughing so hard that my back hurts. I was wondering if all this coughing is affecting my baby. It may seem like a stupid question but my coughing gets violent and hurts me, so I can only imagine how my son feels in my belly. Any tips or advice would be great.
