has your DR done a membrane sweep without asking?

I had my 38w appointment today and I'm 38+4. My OB did the normal things and then when she went to check my cervix she said I was a 2 almost 3, and then said well you just had a little bloody show, and I told her that I had been losing pieces for a little while now and she said, well there is nothing left of your mucus plug at all now. And then she got a pad out for me and said I may need to put that on just in case I spot. Did she sweep my membranes?? Lol she didn't say I would spot after my last check I had so I'm a little confused. I mean, I don't care I'm just curious and I didn't think to ask until she had walked out already lol
