How long should u wait to go to the doctors ?

I've been trying to get pregnant for 4 months and nothing yet. Idk if I should go get a check up to make sure everything is ok because this will be my first child. I'm kinda scared to go but if I have to I have to.  I've wanted a baby for a long time so I hope it just happens naturally soon 🙏🏻😊

My dr says they do fertility testing after a year of testing with no positives

I went for a checkup before we starting trying to conceive just to make sure my OB didn't see any red flags. I had a pap and got the okay to start trying. 
Most doctors won't start doing fertility diagnostic exams until you've been trying for 9-12 months. My doctor said he always starts with the male, since problems with their swimmers tend to be common and it's an easy non-invasive test. 
Honestly, I would give it more time. It's always a good idea to have a check up, especially if you haven't had one in a while. But I wouldn't be concerned about fertility yet.

Also, you might consider trying a digital opk to help with timing. My advice is don't tell your partner though, it creates performance anxiety in some guys & they can't do the deed. It's not uncommon.

I went and got clomid after 6 months since I don't ovulate on my own.

Are you using ovulation strips? We were trying for awhile, then decided to use those one cycle and that's the cycle we conceived!
