Will you make sure your child gets the HPV vaccines?

I have gotten 2 of the vaccines and will be getting my third soon. I don't plan to have children but if I do I will make sure that they also get it (if they are able to).

I'm old and they didn't offer this as per the norm when I was young. But if I had a girl, I'd have her get it. Any vaccine that keeps her healthy is a good one.

So the most common argument I've heard against it is that it's linked to infertility. HPV is also linked to six different types of cancers from what I hear from preofessionals. Cancer kills people, infertility doesn't.

If I was going to have kids, yes. Why? Because it prevents genital warts and cancers in both men and women.

Plus if you can stop the spread of a life long STD why wouldn't you?

My 2 daughters and my son have already got theirs. I don't want them to get something knowing that I could have possibly helped them to prevent

I was vaccinated with Gardisil when I was younger and I am fine. However, I'm iffy on this one. I'm very pro-vax, but the HPV vaccine is very new (only 8-10 years old). There has been some conflicting studies on if this vaccine is linked to infertility. There has been a lot of complaints filed against this vaccine, more than most that are around the same age as this one. The CDC swears it's safe, but I'm just not convinced at this time. By the time she's old enough to get this vaccine, we will have to see if anything has surfaced or if it does prove safe.

Yes, definitely. Kids will be getting all vaccines. We have the resources so why not use them?

No. Get your pap smears, don't inject some crap that's too new to even know if it works or not. Way too much controversy around the vaccine anyway.

Probably. I never got them and don't plan on getting them, but I guess they're important so I'll probably make sure my kid gets them.

I chose not to get it myself. The doctor asked every single appointment, but I still said no. My child is still in utero, so it will be a long time before she would get this vaccine. I'll do more research on it then for her, because I'm sure it will change.
