Phantom smells?!

Help! I can't stop smelling garlic. It's grossing me out. My husband smells like garlic so bad. I keep making him take a shower but it makes no difference. I smell it when I walk in a room! I've also noticed it at work on a male co-worker. I love garlic but this is an almost nauseating garlic smell. No one else smells it but me. Anyone else have phantom smells? And what are they?! It's grossing me out but it's hilarious.
