Take Home Outfit?

I feel really dumb for asking this but how am I supposed to know if my baby is going to wear size NB or 3 months when born. I'm trying to order her "take home" outfit from Carter's and the sizes are NB 5-8lbs and 3 months 8-12lbs. I want it to look cute on her and not super loose but I'm just not sure. Anyone know? At my 30 week apt they estimated her at 3lbs 12oz if that helps any.

I had two NB and 0-3 months , my daughter came out a 8lbs 14oz 22inches long . She barely fit the NB diaper lol but my sister helped me dress her. So she ended up putting on the NB outfit lol 😂

I'm having a little girl in February and we decided on this little outfit. But were in the same delima. Were not sure if we should get a newborn or a 3 month. Because we don't know if our little girl is going to be chunky or small and what she will weigh. But I had a previous c section with my first so the c section doctor is going to do a pelvic exam about a week or 2 before her due date to see how big she is and if I'm wide enough to deliver. So I will know closer to time. Do you know if your getting another ultrasound before you deliver? If not see if there's anyway they can possibly give you an estimate on how big your baby is.

I have two outfits because I thought the same thing. I also am at risk for a low birth weight baby so I'm assuming mine will be more of a NB size.

Honestly take both sizes but at 34w our little girl was estimated at 5lb7oz when she arrived at 39x2 she was 7lb15oz. She still fits in newborn at 2 weeks old, only problem is they're getting a tiny bit small in the length.

Carter runs big u can get nb.. My son is 8 pounds and Carter's newborns are still big on him

I would say Newborn! My twin girls were in the 3lb range at 31 weeks and just over 5lbs at 35 weeks.. they will be here on Friday (38+2) and I am guessing they will be in the 6lb range... but.. if it's an outfit you really love, buy it in both sizes to be safe. Most full term babies are under 8lbs, but my daughter was born at 8lbs 11 oz... so big babies are definitely possible!

Definetly take both. My son ended up being much larger than we thought and husband had to go home and pick a new outfit. When you get closer to due date they should be able to give you an estimation.
