Should i apply for wick?

My SO and I aren't not yet married so legally I'm single. But I bring home 1300 every two weeks and my cost of living is pretty low. Ive heard awful stories about mothers being talked down to by the people at wic. Would I even get accepted if I do apply?

But you make $2600 a month and have a low cost of living. WIC is for people who need help, and it doesn't sound like you do.

it doesnt matter if you're married or not, if you're in a relationship or live together, you will have to count his income as well. Theres no shame in getting WIC. It helps us parents that need a little extra help even though we do work. It helps get you some healthy foods during pregnancy and the year after and helps provide some of the formula you will need for your baby if you do not breast feed, if you plan to breast feed they also may help you get a pump (not sure) and help with latching and other breastfeeding issues

The wic office where I'm at has never asked for any income information... My sister was on wic and her husband was literally making 1500-2000 a WEEK!! Wic is there because formula is expensive. But so are house payments and car payments and medical insurance and hospital bills from just having birthed a child... Like yeah stuff adds up

WIC is for people who NEED help. And people who make 2600 a month, not including your fiancé's pay probably do NOT NEED help. Especially if you have to ask a forum of woman if you should or not.

I have been in wic for 7 year's. Never had a problem. I have a 7 year old, 4 year old and 14 weeks 2 days now. And I never had a problem with them. I don't know the income guidelines. But it can't hurt to try. Enfamil  is expensive

If you don't think you'll be able to afford a baby. Then yes. But just from what your post suggests I would say no. Cause it sounds like you should be fine

Absolutely not! You make more than my husband and I make in 2 weeks and I wouldn't even think of applying! Especially since your SO is there to help support you! Doesn't matter if your "technically single ".

WIC eligibility is based on household size not marital status. If it's you, your partner and you are pregnant with one baby you probably are over the income limit for the household size (not sure if the amount you gave was ore tax or post tax). For example, I live with my wife and I'm pregnant with one baby. I make 1500 gross and 1090 net every two weeks. The gross income limit for 3 people is 1400ish.
