is it normal to be super thirsty in early pregnancy?

I swear I CANNOT get enough water. I've drank so much today! Is this normal? I'm pretty sick with something viral so I don't know if it's contributing or not but I just feel extremely thirsty constantly

I've always been so thirsty throughout my whole pregnancy no matter how much I drink! I don't have GD. And at night, I put a 52oz thermal by my bed filled with ice water and I usually finish it before morning and have to re-fill it haha

It's totally normal!! It's good though cause my ob said it means if you drink more water you'll be less likely to overeat so you'll be at a good weight and not have a higher risk of gestational diabetes. I'm 22 w and drink water like a fish!!

Yess that was one of my first symptoms !!! Even before my bfp! Now I'm 31 weeks ❤️️ it's good to drink as much water during pregnancy

Omg, I feel the same way. My husband picks up at least 5-6 bottles from the side of my bed in the morning. It's like nothing seems to quench my thirst though. I stopped at Sams club today to grab some Gatorade because I always feel dehydrated despite drinking so much water throughout the day.

I'm a type one diabetic and the absolute first symptom is thirst , you should get checked for gestational diabetes asap
