TRYING TO GET PREGNANT

At one point I was trying to get pregnant because I felt like it would make me happier. I'm 27 and I've had unprotected sex before and still haven't been pregnant. At one point I tried for 4 months with my boyfriend and still no baby. I've had history of contracting a STD but always got it cured. I've never been told I couldn't have kids. How do I find out or know if I can have any at all? Should I be concerned??
