TMI - spotting or miscarriage?

Question

I'm 6 weeks pregnant. When I went to the restroom today I noticed brown blood when I wiped. By the end of the day I ended up with about a teaspoon in my underwear (sorry tmi). No cramping.

I have been reading that it is normal to have spotting at this point in the pregnancy but how much is too much?

Has anyone else experienced spotting or a miscarriage that can give me some advice?

I had a miscarriage at 5weeks and i had brown discharge 3 days before it happened but my cramps were ver bad ALL the time, like sharp pain day and night. When i asked the doctor he said its normal to have brown discharge since it could be old blood, but in my case the cramps told me something was wrong. 
Call you doctor, they will make you feel better ❤️️

My doctor said it's ok as long as it doesn't turn to heavy/period like flow. I would get an ultrasound to make sure. That way, there is no question it is ok. As far as miscarriage bleeding goes, I had to induce mine with medication after a missed miscarriage and I was soaking through about an overnight pad almost every hour. BUT that doesn't mean you shouldn't get checked out to be safe. Can't hurt! If anything, it will give you peace of mind

As long as it's brown & you don't have cramping, you should be fine. If it turns to red & you have cramping then notify your doctor. I've had 3 m/c so I know how scary it is. Best wishes! 💫

I've spotted off and on about once a week for the past couple weeks and so far everything's been going okay.!
