Dockatot in Queen Bed?

My husband and I are looking to purchase a Dockatot for our LO that will be here on the 31st! And we plan on cosleeping with me having a csection and planning to breastfeed. Just curious of how much room it actually occupies in a queen size bed and of how many moms use it in their queen size!

This was my plan in the beginning but I think it might take up too much space. It's 18 inches wide x 24-30 inches long. (24 with clasps closed, 30 with clasps open). Try measuring it out on your bed and see if that would work for you and your husband...

Whatever you choose please be careful. It is not recommended to have your baby sleep in you bed with you and your SO. No judgements at all, just letting you know something I learned about SIDS prevention.

Perfect for a king size bed with two people or queen bed with one person (naps and such) in my opinion. We love ours and use it everywhere. On the couch, in the pack n play, when we went on vacation, and eventually how we will transition to crib. Our baby wanted to be constantly held and this is the only way we could get him to sleep. Love it!

First of all HIGHLY RECOMMEND that Dockatot. Our little guy would not sleep on his back unless he was swaddled up and snuggled in the dock. We have a queen size bed though and it does not fit comfortably unless there is only one adult sleeping next to it. We started out with the Dock in a sidecar bassinet attached to my side of the bed which worked ok, but after a few weeks realized that putting it in the bassinet part of our pack n play across the room resulted in much better sleep for me! Newborns are so noisy when they sleep! For night feedings hubby gets up and brings him to me to nurse and I change him and lay him back down. It's been working great for us.

We have a queen and gave up on the bed sharing.  I was literally curled around it to keep myself in the bed.  I still use it during the day when my fiancé isn't in the bed and I want to nap but keep an eye on her.

I'm not planning on Co-Sleeping.. I'm gonna do a bassinet on my side...  Reasons being is my man is a broad / bigger dude..  I barely get my pillows to myself.. and I don't like snuggling... Lol and most importantly my dad is a fireman and as a child I remember him telling me stories that babies was smashed, suffocated, or in common case SIDS.. and would have to make the run and he would have to wake up in the middle of the night to a mom Wondering why or how her baby passed...  Personally not my cup of tea... And I'm also having my second c section, I never had a problem getting up.. if not get your man to get up and get the baby and you just feed and change

We used it in our king and it was comfortable but I would. It have wanted to use it in a smaller bed personally. But we are also sprawlers so take that with a grain of salt ;)
