I've used both and I've come to find that pampers swell too much and huggies run a little on the small side.  I prefer the huggies little snugglers for my daughter though, they seem to fit around her chubby thighs comfortably.

I started off using the pampers swaddlers, but like a previous poster commented, the mesh was getting stuck to my sons privates, and would irritate the heck out of them. So I tried buggies snugglers I think they're called, and I love them! Have used them for over a year now! I find that they were wonders when you get those crazy poop blowouts!

We tried huggies for a week.  She peed right through them and we literally gave up after starting a brand new bag.  I am a cheap ass so it kills me to not use the rest of the huggies but the pampers keep her dry.

Little Snugglers seem to run a bit small for my daughter (size 2) so I switched to lHuggies Ultra Snug & Dry, but they're so hard to find. I will use both brands depending on the best price. I just like the ones that have the "leak indicator" and Swaddlers and Little Snugglers and Ultra Snug & Dry all have them.

I like pampers baby dry, the regular swaddlers have a netting inside that stuck to my son's balls and butt cheeks. He squealed a few times because the netting was stuck to him. The huggies ones were too low on his back and he blew out up the back a lot.

It depends on your baby. Some babies have reactions to one brand and not the other, some have reactions to both. It's trial and error really until you find the right brand for your baby.
