formula cost monthly?

Can anyone tell me what they spend on average monthly on formula? I'm a first time mom and I'm trying to figure out a budget for when the baby comes

Depends on the kind of formula and how big of a container you use. I use Similac total comfort since my son has reflux the small 12 oz cans cost me $16 a can and I can easily go through two a week. If I use the bigger container I can't remember how big it is but it will last me up to three weeks.

It depends on what they can drink. My first I put on formula and he was allergic to almost all the normal formulas and we finally had to buy really expensive formula so he didn't break out in hives and scream for hours on end. It was $25 or $35 a can. And we would use 1 can in a couple days. So we were spending $100 or more a week, only on formula. After that terrible experience I breastfed my other two babies, wasn't worth the money or possible allergic reactions to use formula.

My son has a milk protein allergy and we have to use neocate which is about $45 14oz can we go through about 1-2 a week. It comes out to about 8 cans a month ($450 ish) a month

I'm not a mom but I work at Walmart where we sell it and I think the cheapest we have is roughly 19$ some for a can. And more for a bottle of liquid formula.

For my son I used Similac Sensitive and i would buy a 3 pack of the biggest containers they make from diapers.com and i think it was like $120? It would last me about 5 weeks. It was by far the best pricing.
