hypnobirthing?

Hello ladies,

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with my second daughter and super excited yet nervous. I was interested in hypnobirthing and was wondering if anyone has any experience with it? I had a long unmedicated natural birth (after threatened with forceps, vacuum and c section because it was taking so long and ended with a second degree tear) with my first and hoping for a more pleasant experience this time around.

Yes I had a wonderful birth using those techniques. The one I didn’t utilize the first time that I will this time (nonwithstanding any emergencies) is breathing the baby down instead of pushing the entire time. Pushed for 1.5 hours and had second degree tear - hoping to breathe my next one down and maybe give a few little pushes at the very end instead of using all my strength to push! I love hypnobirthing- feel confident in your body’s natural ability to birth and don’t forget to breathe! It’s truly wonderful and I wasn’t in any pain expect when I wasn’t focused and breathing correctly. Otherwise I didn’t have any pain. It was incredible!

I am currently practicing this and hired an adoula as well who has experience in it. This is my first baby but i feel confident in this method.
