crush advice

So there is this guy I really like... like a lot and he likes me cause my friend asked him and I don't know how to deal with it cause he is a year younger then me in school and we never see each other except in play rehearsals and when we do see each other we are always flirting. But the issue is I'm a naturally a flirty person and according to my friend I was being a bit too flirty today with a guy I don't like but I can never tell if I'm flirting or not it's just how I am. I am really into this guy and I don't know how to show it and he kind of blew me off today and was acting dare I say jealous like I was holding this kids beanie for him and he was like oh you should wear it so I did and the kid that I like comes up to me and just takes the beanie right off my head. So like someone please help me in getting through the whole "too flirty" thing cause I think that I could really be into this kid.
