Am I being stupid?

Ok this is stupid but my BF got breakfast today with one of his friends that's a girl. They've been friends for a really long time, she used to like him tho but now she has a BF. Idk why but it kinda bothered me. Ik it's stupid and he's allowed to have friends that are girls. I think I just get super insecure sometimes. What do you guys think?

Did he invite you? Or did you find out after the fact?

I think if he was open with you about the breakfast and you didn't tell him you were uncomfortable with it then you have no right to get upset.

But if it was something you found out about later then you might have problems.  I think the best approach is to communicate to him that although you don't mind him having friends who are girls that you do not feel comfortable him going on one-on-one outings with them. And that you prefer you went with him and the girl can also bring a friend or SO so she's not a third wheel.

It's normal to feel worried and insecure in that situation. My boyfriend's closest friends are girls and I always go hang out with my guy friend too. Just stay honest with each other and trust each other. Have you met his friend yet? It helped ease my worries once I met my boyfriends friends.

I feel that you can trust a girl who has a BF they are only friends . The only issue is 1. if he canceled on you to hang with his friend instead 2. He didn't admit to this hangout or tell you about it before, instead you found out

Other than that you have to let your BF hang out with his friends. People need friendships it can't be just a girlfriend cuz there is always a chance of someone breaking up and then next thing you know it he or you do not have any other friends to go to
