Chuck roast?

Do you have to put a roast in the crock pot on low or can I put it in the oven what other way can i cook it?

That's how I always cook it! Throw some onion in, garlic salt and pepper. Yum!!

I season my roast then sear in a skillet for a couple mins on each side then put in the crock pot with a Lil bit of water then put some onion soup mix on top w onions then carrots and potatoes and let it cook on low for 8 hrs. Or 4 hrs on high until everything is done 😋

Sear the roast in a big pan, drop in some celery sticks, garlic, and quartered onions, then add a few cups of red wine and maybe a little broth or water, just to get it to almost cover the roast. Then cook on the stove for several hours until it's almost tender enough for you and add a bunch of carrots and boiling potatoes. Cook for another 30 minutes.

This is the way my mom and grandmother and I do it. No Crock-Pot, no oven, just on the stove. And it might be my favorite meal.
