If you had to choose between birth photography or newborn photos, which would you choose?

Considering getting a birth photographer but I can't decide! They're expensive in my area ($450+) so I can't decide if it's worth it or not. My husband will be the only other person in the delivery room with me and plans to wear his GoPro during but I feel like I may want the pro pictures 😭 idk. If we did those that takes some out of what we could spend on newborn photos (they're expensive too) so that's the main reason I can't decide.

With birth photos, They'll capture moments you can't see or moments you're in too many pain to notice. Beautiful, Priceless moments.

Definitely newborn. I don't think the birth ones are worth the price. And I would rather put newborn photos up around the house instead of birth ones. The birth ines are only really special to you two, but everyone enjoys newborn.

Some professionals do both in a package. Ask and specifically let them know less birth photos more newborn, or visa versa. Or go crazy and get a whole bunch of both. Lol

We are doing a fresh 48 where the photographer comes in a few hours after birth to take pictures. I like that just because it shows all of us at the hospital and still newborn pictures.

I personally wouldn't want birth pictures. I just don't want to see myself like that. My newborn pictures are priceless though.

Using the GoPro is a great idea for your delivery! My thoughts or birth photos.... I'd be uncomfortable with a stranger (the photographer) in there! So I would vote new born photos. But it all depends on what you're comfortable with.

Birth one are ones no one will notice till you look back. Newborn you can do yourself at home pretty much with how many apps there are to help you edit and all.
