Irritation around the clitoral hood???

I have this red rash(?) around my clitoral hood, it's been on and off again for about a yesr. There are no bumps, its just red and itchy and irritated. No weird discharge, and no stds. (I've only slept with one guy, my boyfriend.) Could I be allergic to something? Or is it just dry? Idk i'm in agony, I just wanna scratch at it. I've been putting aloe on it. What could it be from??? Help!!!
